Northern Cables Inc.'s TECK90 is an interlocked armored cable
for use in petro-chemical, pulp and paper, and other industrial
application environments. TECK90 can be used in open and concealed wiring,
direct burial, and in hazardous locations.
The insulated conductors are made with cross-linked polyethylene and
twisted with an uninsulated ground wire. The twisted core is covered with
a PVC jacket, then covered with either interlocked aluminum or galvanized
steel, and covered with a PVC jacket over the armour.
TECK90 is manufactured to CSA C22.2#131 and CSA C22.2 #174 to allow it to
meet the certain CSA tests including; flame test FT4,-40C cold
temperature impact test, low acid gas and sunlight resistance.
TECK90 is available in 600 and 1000-volt constructions from #14 to #2 AWG.
Cables can be manufactured up to 30 conductors. Custom cables are available
upon request including composites, vertical riser, and colored jackets.

AC90
is a flexible interlocked aluminum armored cable approved
for use in open and concealed wiring in dry locations.
All AC90 is CSA approved and manufactured with two, three, or four
copper conductors insulated with RW90 cross-linked polyethylene rated at
600 volts from #14 to #2 AWG. The bonding conductor is bare copper.
AC90 is a cost effective alternative to conduit wiring. AC90 eliminates
the need for conduit, fittings and the labour associated with pulling in
wire, threading, and forming conduit. Multiconductor and special
construction AC90 can be manufactured. Please make requests to Northern
Cables Inc. for Engineering design prod@northerncables.com

MC-THHN is a UL listed flexible interlocked armored cable for use in branch, feeder, and service circuits in commercial, industrial, multi-residential buildings and places of assembly.
MC-THHN has two or more THHN conductors and can be constructed with solid or stranded copper. The grounding conductor is a green THHN conductor, however, multiple grounding conductors are available.
MC-THHN is available in special constructions including
oversized neutral conductors and multi-conductors up
to 25 wires. Standard and special constructions can
be made from #14 - #1 AWG and is rated for 600 volts.

ACTHH is a UL listed flexible interlocked armored cable for use in branch circuits and feeders in both exposed and concealed areas where allowed by the electric code.
ACTHH has 2, 3, or 4 THHN conductors and can be constructed of either solid or stranded conductors. Each insulated conductor is individually wrapped with paper.
An insulated green ground may or may not be included. All ACTHH cables shall have an internal aluminum bonding wire in intimate contact with the armour.
Standard constructions can be manufactured in sizes #14 AWG to #1 AWG with either steel or aluminum armour. Please make special requests to Northern Cables Inc. for Engineering design prod@northerncables.com

CUSTOM ARMOR/JACKETS
|
Northern Cables Inc. provides custom interlocked armor
services on other manufactured cores supplied by the
customer. The most common materials for armor are aluminum
or galvanized steel. Choice of material thickness and
grade can vary depending on the physical properties
required by the end user. Other materials are available
upon request. In addition Northern Cables can provide
custom jacketing services on supplied cores including
armored cables. These jackets are available in a range
of colors with custom printing. Length Marking in meters
and feet is also available. PVC jackets are resistant
to water and sunlight, meet FT4, have low acid gas,
are rated to minus 40C, and are available in a variety
of colors. Other thermoplastics are available on request.

Every cable is subjected to the appropriate CSA and UL
electrical tests prior to shipping. These extensive Electrical Tests
include: dielectric withstand, conductor resistance, insulation
resistance, and continuity.
Mechanical and physical property tests are also performed on a
regular basis. These tests include: crush and impact, armour tension,
bending radius, cold impact, armour tightness, tensile and elongation
of insulation and jackets, as well as aging of polymeric individuals.
